It appears that they removed the "Letter to Fan" from the auction. Good move Juliens!

I think it's pretty interesting but I am very new to hendrix memorabilia so I have a hard time deciding if it's a cash grab or fair valued.

Not sure if it's allowed to discuss in this thread, but just to keep it relevant I just noticed a bunch of new items were posted here incl. a 153 album collection and some drawings.

    Re: The Hendrix Auction Thread

Maybe it has been discussed earlier in this thread - but that Invaluable link has "An offer are two original master tapes of Jimi Hendrix' performance at Berkeley Community Theatre on May 1970. These tapes, believed to contain raw un-edited footage of the performace(s) as apposed to the very much edited released version. The master tapes originate from the offices of Alan Douglas and Daniel Secunda"

Really? If that is the case - then it is a wonder EH are not all over it?

    Yeah....I saw that also...
Personally I think the footage is just a reel of edits from Berkeley...Douglas used some edited footage of Berkeley in his videos....namely the Johnny B Goode that has the complete intro(it's all black tho')his On The Road promo video has this edit(promo was for his Ultimate Hendrix compilation)not sure what edit is on the Johnny B Goode video promo ...he did the same with some Rainbow Bridge footage...his Foxey Lady video is edited and has cut all of the Pat Hartley scenes out and
replaced with either Cox or Mitchell or even the crowd...I think this is on the Woodstock and other Stages video....
I don't believe the reel has any footage we have not seen....it would be nice if they found the Berkeley Red House with the Flying V footage that is/was listed on the Jefferey Estate list.
